Windows Evernote Update
With the advent of smartphones the use of applications that allow us to improve our productivity is increasingly widespread. One of this apps is Evernote, a service that has just updated its desktop application for Windows. With the incorporation of a number of new features and improvements in the visuals of the application, Evernote on Windows looks much better now.
The update brings users slightly different searches and organization to the desktop app. Evernote is the note-taking space for your life’s work, this productivity app keeps your projects, ideas and inspirations handy across all your digital devices. The app allows users to create a “note” which can be a piece of formatted text, a full webpage, a photo, a voice memo, a full webpage, or even a handwritten note.
Earlier this year, Evernote announced that they would stop selling notebooks and socks in order to make its essence, the Evernote app, the better it could be. Maybe the new version of its Windows app is the first confirmation of that. It’s a simpler and clearer approach taking care of the sidebar’s design and functionality. They have also add a quick separation between work and personal notebooks. Users will have the possibility to reduce the size of the app on the screen when they need more space for working. Generally, it doesn’t look quite as minimal as it does on the web interface, however; the desktop app has its own identity.
They have also introduced some adjustment on the way the myriad Evernote missives works are here, now you can tag stuff by color too, more or less like the system-wide tagging feature on Mac OS X. Speaking of which, we haven’t had any kind of information from Evernote related with its version for Apple’s desktop OS.
For now, we just have to wait a little bit more until being able to enjoy the new app and its ability for zooming in and out.
