Instagram for Windows 10
The app is still in beta version for Windows Phone and has had very few updates since coming to the app store in 2013. Therefore, users of Windows 10 Mobile had to use other applications such as 6Tag to upload videos to their profile.
Instagram, since its launch in 2010, has been one of the social networks most commonly used by young people around the world to upload photos and videos, and in only two years the app had more than 100 million users. From version 4.0, the application allows the user to upload videos with a maximum duration of 15 seconds and is one of the options most used by more than 300 million users who already have the social network on their smartphones. However, Instagram has restricted some of its options for Windows 10 Mobile users, since they could not automatically upload videos.
However, with the launch of the application for Windows Phone, this will also be compatible with Windows 10 Mobile. This new version supports smart tile as it shows the apps directly on the home screen, it also includes direct messages from Instagram, explore section and video.
Although this new version is not yet as those already available for both iOS and Android, it is quite similar allowing users of Windows 10 Mobile to have almost the same options as users of other operating systems.
The new application that came to Windows Store, the app store for Windows, on April 28th, came with the updates of Facebook and Messenger although these are only designed for the desktop, unlike Instagram that is also available for Windows 10 Mobile.
Now, Windows 10 Mobile users do not have to wait any more. Like on every other versions of Instagram, Windows 10 users can use Facebook to sign into their account, edit photos on the app, and share their posts to other social networks. You can also press and hold a picture to peek at it from the feed.
