Poem about a "Stolen Horse"

I can remember most of it from when I was a child and my first horse was stolen.

Started out with:

Today I walked to my pasture gate,
But my bay didn't answer my call.
And after a search to far corners,
I found she was nowhere at all.

I raised that bay from a weanling filly,
When her mother, she passed on.
Now I find after four short years,
My prized brown horse is gone.

If anyone can help me find the rest of this poem, I would be so grateful.

Thanks,
Whisper
