How about these stanzas from A.D. Hope's "Vivaldi, Bird and Angel" ?

This love, which opened in sonata form
For these two solo instruments alone,
Began 'fugato', in a minor key;
Subject and answer, challenge and the calm
Sad, questing melody probed towards unknown
Diminished thirds that spoke for you and me.

And though their end we hardly yet surmise,
We took this as the statement of a theme
In which each bore an equal part, where each,
Like earth and heaven causes a sun to rise
Out of the dark foredawning of our dream
And brought its jubilant noon within our reach.

There's a song called "A Pretty Girl is Like a Melody."

There's another song called "Play Me" (recorded by Mac Davis, but I don't konw who wrote it) with a line: "You are the words, I am the song, play me." It's all about BEING music.

I imagine there are more songs than poems, for the obvious reason.

Is Piano by D H Lawrence any use?

SOFTLY, in the dusk, a woman is singing to me;
Taking me back down the vista of years, till I see
A child sitting under the piano, in the boom of the tingling strings
And pressing the small, poised feet of a mother who smiles as she sings.

In spite of myself, the insidious mastery of song 5
Betrays me back, till the heart of me weeps to belong
To the old Sunday evenings at home, with winter outside
And hymns in the cosy parlour, the tinkling piano our guide.

So now it is vain for the singer to burst into clamour
With the great black piano appassionato. The glamour 10
Of childish days is upon me, my manhood is cast
Down in the flood of remembrance, I weep like a child for the past.
