I would like to find a poem from my childhood. It's about a tramp that walks into a lady's house and she uses a plaster bulldog that she had won that day at the county fair to scare him away. He thought it was real. The only phrases I can sorta remember are: "the tramp stepped up to the cottage door" and "run quick through yonder door, I can't hold him a moment more". Can anyone remember this old poem?
