Close to 30 years ago, while in elementary school, I remember reading a poem, that I believe was written by Pat Duffy, and titled, "She and I" The first part of the poem is:
We walked through winter she and I
we kissed the clouds that melted by
We took care of the children and their cuts
We fed the squirrels hazelnuts
(I may be confused about the 3rd and 4th line)
Has anyone seen this? It really has a special meaning for me, and I've been searching for years to find a copy. I believe the last line is: "And then we died, she and I"
Any help is greatly appreciated.
