just as snow falls silently to the ground: a love, once lost, leaves without a sound... can you help?

I am desperately seeking a poem that was read out at my Nan's funeral about two years ago. I don't remember much of it - and the words in the title of this forum are vague - they may not be exact - but that was the gist of it... the lines above weren't the first lines, it was a poem about flowers and gardens and snow and love and was quite sad but so beautiful and I have NO IDEA who wrote it, whether it is by and Englishman or an American or what.

If anyone can help I would be soooooo grateful - and of course if I can help any of the many posts here I shall!

Thank you all so much,

May x (UK, England)
