I know that this is the title of a poem by Sylvia Townsend Warner which I heard on the radio. I would dearly love to read the poem again. Does anyone have it available? Many thanks
This is all I could find:
First Line: Go the long way, the long way home.
Last line: Ere the wind jolts you, and you vanish like foam.
by Sylvia Townsend Warner
found in Poems of Twenty Years: an Anthology 1918-1938; ed. by Maurice Wollman (Macmillan 1938) and in New Collected Poems by Sylvia Townsend Warner and published by Fyfield Books in 2008. The ISBN is 978 1 85754 947 8.
Many thanks JohnnyBoy. I had no idea that a collected volume of her poems have recently been published. I shall pursue that. Thanks again.
