I'm a first time poster.
When I was very young, I memorized a poem from school. My Grandmother and mother especially enjoyed asking me to recite it for them. They got a kick out of it because I was probably just in kindergarden at the time and the poem wasn't that short. The story was also nice.
All I remember is something along the lines of:
"An owl sitting on a mountain top,
waiting for the rain to stop."
Sorry, that's all. But I do believe that the owl may have gotten sick in this poem and that a mountain goat ended up placing the owl on it's back and carring it down the mountain side.
I would love to find this poem and have it given to my mom on Mother's day. My grandmother has passed on but I know she would smile and certainly my mom would, too.
I've tried the internet searches and two seperate librarians to-date. I'm sorry I haven't been able to remember more. Maybe I should try hypnosis. LOL.
Thank YOU so much anyone who attempts this. It really means a lot.
