This is probably a reference to the verses from 1st corinthians chapter 13 in the new testament. It is a chapter devoted to the description of love. It's commonly known among Christians anyway and you can google it easily by the chapter. I googled it for you... The passage you're refering to begins in the 4th verse. I don't particularly like this translation, some others are more poetic and more clearly written.

1 If I speak in human and angelic tongues 2 but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.
