forgotten poem "drink the wine"

A favorite saying of my fathers was "drink the wine, smell the roses, we pass this way but once".
I am sure this was not his creation, perhaps someone may know the poem that it cam from.

the one I know makes no reference to wine nor roses

"I expect to pass through this world but once;
any good thing therefore that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature,
let me do it now;
let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again."

Stephen Grellet (born Etienne de Grellet du Mabillier)

Sounds like a mixture of Omar Khayyam and Ernest Dowson.
