Has anyone ever heard/read this? Can you tell me who the source is?

Thanks,

lehnmarc

Cecelia smiles,
and the world brightens around her.
But she doesn't see the sun glow in her presence.
Her head is filled with dreams of daffodils and butterflies,
And brightly colored beads that she proudly displays.

lehn, it's not on the internet, which could mean one of two things:

1. It is under copyright, and is too new to publish. If this is the case go to the source from which you found it and ask where they got it. If it has been published in a magazine, journal, or textbook, they may be able to give you the name from which you could find the source. Librarians can help you with this.

2. It may be the work of an amateur. If that is the case we can't help you.

It is an original, unpublished poem.

Cecelia smiles,
and the world brightens around her.
But she doesn't see the sun glow in her presence.
Her head is filled with dreams of daffodils and butterflies,
And brightly colored beads that she proudly displays.

Her eyes have looked straight through me
With nothing but empty thoughts,
But when her smile flies back at me
I can barely hold my heart in.

What does she see in her domain
Of butterflies and flowers?
What else is there beneath
The deep wondering and musing
That launches a catapult of light?

Her world is her own,
She pauses and moves on,
I see and can’t help wondering,
What is on her mind?
Basking in the sunlight
When Cecelia smiles.
