In college my human growth and development professor read the class a poem about the development of a small child. I can't remember much of it except it was written in 1st person from the view point of a 5 yr old child - The format of the poem went something like this:
I am five. Then it went on about some tipical 5 year old behaviors . .
But I am also 4. Then it went on about how some of the four year old behaviors linger . .
I am 3 etc. . .
I am 2.
I am 1.
It was many years ago. Now I find myself teaching Kindergarten and I would love to read that poem again.
Nice catch Hugh.
