My parents played me a record by the Barrow Poets when I was little, which featured a short poem called Nothingmas Day, a kind of anti-Xmas poem. It was very clever - quotes like "Oh look what I haven't got, it's just what I didn't want!", and the "children threw no-balls". I believe that it may have been by Adrian Mitchell originally?
Does anybody out there have the text to this poem? Since I told them about it, my kids have been pestering me to try and find it!
Dino, apparently it's still under copyright. Go to your local library and get a copy of any book by Adrian Mitchell which contains the poem. His books are very popular and should be available at most public libraries of any size.
