anybody out there know the author and written/published date of this poem:

There are four, they that cannot come back:
The spoken word
The sped arrow,
The neglected opportunity...

A substantially similar saying has been widely credited to Omar Idn Al-Halif (whoever he was).

Four things do not come back: the spoken word, the spent arrow, the past and the neglected opportunity.
