For the man you give me

A poem from a wife to a new mother in law. It is rather lengthy and thanks the mother for raising the son (man) the wife is now taking. There is a line that goes something like "you used to hold his little fingers and now I take his hand" I would love to find the author and title so I can have it printed.

the one I know is short ...
.
When he was small you
took his hand
And held him in your arms.

Now with your help, your
sonís a man
With loving, boyish charms.

Today Iím proudly
by his side,
And he has my hand, too.

One thing Iíve learned to
share with him
Is his deep love for you.

Thank you for your help though not the one I'm looking for. My mother thinks I got the line wrong. She thinks it goes "You used to hold his little hand and now I hold his heart". Maybe that is more accurate. Thanks again.

You are the mother I receive
The day I wed your son;
And I just wanted to thank you, mom,
For all the things you've done.

You've given to me a gracious man
With Whom I share my life;
You are his loving mother,
And I his loving wife.

You used to pat his little head,
And now I hold his hand.
You raised in love a little boy
and gave to me a man.
