young woman reading her work at a poetry reading at Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon between '63 and '67. In her poem she is talking about a couple at the beach and one line has stayed with me for forty years "...and made a pillow of his shoes." I would love to find the author and the poem.
Jill, if it is by a fairly recent author, it may be still under copyright. Copyrights last up to 75 years. See if you can find out from the college which poet it was. That would help immensely in your search.
