This is a poem that i learnt in school i think its about mary the mother of christ bemoaning her fate i can only remember these lines

Threading the green and nimble sward
I saw a strange shadow thrown
"are you the boy i bore alone
no doctor near to cut the cord"

and then it goes on about twelve laboring men and other references, that i think it has to do with Jesus and Mary, does anyone know the poem and or author.
