Howdy! This isn't a school assignment or anything. I was fondly recalling a poem I found when I was in high school and I can't remember the title or author of it. I thought it was titled "Death Rode A Pinto Pony", but I can't find anything by that title. The first line is "Death rode a pinto pony across the Rio Grande". I can't remember any more of the lines, but basically the poem is about Death going to collect a farmer, only to find the man in his home, surrounded by his children and playing a fiddle. He was so happy that Death turned his horse and rode away. I would really like to find this poem, so if anyone can help me, or if anyone knows what it is, please help!!! Thanks,
That TITLE is in a book described here:
It doesn't look like the right book for the poem you described, but you never know . . .
Couldn't resist the Internet cafe, could you?
Hope you're having a great time!
