"I will not go quietly into that goodnight;
I will rage, rage against the dying of the light"
Does anybody know what peom this is and/or who wrote it? I cannot remember and it is driving me positively batty.
"Do not go Gentle Into That Good Night" By Unknown Author.
You can read it on the classical poet list. Type in Good Night or something!
"Loving people is like farting in the wind; You don't actually accomplish anything, but you feel better."
~The Great and Powerful Angelia~
Wasn't this poem in a movie? That "dying of the light" line sounds very very familiar.
This poem by Dylan Thomas (as you can also see in the link provided by Stephen) was used in "dangerous minds".
'Do not go gentle into that good night' by Dylan Thomas.
First verse reads:
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light...
The poem was also in the movie Back To School with Rodney Dangerfield and Sally Kellerman.
