I am trying to analize characters from the Great Gatsby and give evidence to support the fact that certain characters hide behind their wealth and status as a means to escape their problems and it blurs the line between reality and the unreal. This is kind of tricky..but any feedback is really needed..so please help!!!!!!

'Egad', have you read the book yet? I confess I haven't, which makes it hard for me to help you on this. But maybe I can help by getting you to clarify the question. What do you mean by "their problems"? What do you mean by "it", i.e. in "it blurs the line between reality and the unreal"? And what do you mean by "the unreal"?

If you mean that certain characters are so sheltered by wealth and status from having any problems or from having to face up to certain problems, that they have difficulty distinguishing reality from delusion, I expect you will find plenty of examples in the book.

How about setting out here some examples of your choosing, so the helpers at Emule can let you know whether they think you have expressed them convincingly?

Ian
