Hey can some please translate this part of Mario Benedetti's "Vamos Juntos" poem:
la historia tañe sonora
su lección como campana
para gozar el mañana
hay que pelear el ahora
THANKS YOU SO MUCH!
Well, I've never been one to allow lack of knowledge to keep me from spouting off, so ...
Vamos Juntos - Let's go together or perhaps we go together
History rings its lessons
Loudly as a bell;
To enjoy the tomorrow
We must struggle today. (we must earn the right today)
Something like, the price of freedom is eternal vigilance? Copyright Thomas Jefferson.
Sorry, no pay: no rhymes!
History rings its lessons
Loudly as a bell;
To enjoy the tomorrow
We must struggle today.
Hugh, I think the 3rd line here might mean, "to enjoy the future". Mañana
meaning "morrow" rather than morning.

and sonora is more sonorous but who's counting?
