Hi,
This is the poem by e.e.cummins. "I have found what you are like". I would like to understand this poem and meanings and its poetic features. Any help will be appreciated.
i have found what you are like
i have found what you are like
the rain,
(Who feathers frightened fields
with the superior dust-of-sleep. wields
easily the pale club of the wind
and swirled justly souls of flower strike
the air in utterable coolness
deeds of green thrilling light
with thinned
newfragile yellows
lurch and.press
-in the woods
which
stutter
and
sing
And the coolness of your smile is
stirringofbirds between my arms;but
i should rather than anything
have(almost when hugeness will shut
quietly)almost,
your kiss
thanks

It is an extended metaphor, Stem.
He's comparing his girl friend to nature, a rain storm in particular. The things he describes are things that nature does.
The last part, beginning with "And the coolness...) tells what his girl friend does to him. The ending 4 lines contain his personal wish.

Hi Ig,
Thanks for ur help. I could understood the poem better now , but still i wish i had understood the below line, what does the lines actually convey. i now know it is a weather storm, but still i am unable to extract the full meaning of the line. Last 4 lines are clear, that he does want nothing morethan a kiss from his beloved.
