We are doing A-level dance and for our coursework we are making a solo piece up about the poem At 3am by Wendy Cope. We have looked on the internet and we can't find any information it. We would be grateful if anyone could give us any info on the poem and analyze it for us. Thanks alot. Luv us x x x x x x x x
oh my god so am i, sorry i can't find any information either. sorry i'm no help, but i was wondering if you could help me. Im finding it so hard to get music for my solo, to relate to the poem, please if you know of any music let me know.
Click on the Homework Assistance tab, and look for the thread titled 'At 3 am.' There are plenty of others doing the same subject.

keep goin
Not really only jokin
if eni1 does have eni please help me HELP HELP HELP
the fact is that they only give u the first verse.............the second verse is this:
somewhere else
you're sleeping
And beside you there's a woman
who is crying quietly
so you won't wake
ABout wendy cope there isnt much to know......she is very inteliigent and has studied at several universities but nothing relevant to relate to the poem.........she is a feminist but i wouldnt read too much into it.
use the first verse as section and the 'books lie open' is enabling u to make ur own mind up on what you think is happening in the poem as a whole!
im am also doing a level dance and the wendy cope question i got a english teacher to analyse the poem for me and fond this was veryy useful not just understanding the poem but coreographic idears aswell
i have based my choreography on insomnia the ticking is like when all you can hear is the clock when you are trying to sleep and the bug is another distractioin so its kind of a narrative some one is trying to sleep but they can not because of ticking and a verry annoying bug!
hope this helps you i would appreciate it if you would e-mail me bk and let me no if i can help further.
hey, my friend has done this question for her A Level dance piece. (I chose the qusetion 1) My friend used silence at the start then used a ticking of a clock. it was very dramatic and worked well.
Good Luck evry1.

hi im doing a level dance and chose the 3am poem 2!! my music is called wind up by paul A Jackson and its really good because its got lots of ticking noises like a clock!!
Thanx for everyones advice, it was a great help!!!
U dont have to know what the poem is about. You just have to show the imagery in the poem e.g. clock hands, insect, panic, trapped and the "books lie open" at the end (do opening motifs). If they wanted u to show what the poem means they would have given us the 2nd stanza.
