ive got to do a dance on the poem "At 3am" i need some information about the poem and on wendy her self can anyone give me any useful web sites?

Wendy was a man hater and the poem is about a woman who is awake at night waiting for her lover to come home. She assumes he is with another woman.

The clock and insect both represent her panic that he is out late and does not love her. The open books can symbolise many things, including that she cannot focus or as a metaphor for her open and displayed feelings.

She is also trapped in an enormous box. This is more frightening than a small box as it contains many hidden things & it seems as if there is no way out.
