to kill a mockingbird

Hi i have a feeling that "to kill a mockingbird" relates to the concept of imaginative journeys and i want to do it as a related text to my area of study. But i also have to make links to Coleridge's poetry (Frost at midnight, ancient mariner, limetree bower and kubla khan). The problem is that Coleridge's poetry revolves around Nature and God while "to kill a mockingbird" is more about racism and growing up etc. They are so vastly different even though they're both imaginative journeys.

Here are the links i can think of:
rime of the ancient mariner - the ancient mariner endures a very personal journey, exploring the self etc to get to achieve higher ground while this is also true in "mockingbird"

kubla khan - justice and superior forces prevails all - in kubla khan, Nature provides this force and likewise for Atticus.

HeLp!! i really want to do "to kill a mockingbird" cos its such a great text and i feel like i can relate to it well. What should i do?

Well, if ya gotta go that way, mebbe 'life's lessons learned' as a common thread? Scout learns some things, the mariner similar things. The value of all living creatures, for example. Are there similar ideas in Frost, Limetree and Kubla? Very probably.

Try concentrating on the Wedding Guest in the Ancient Mariner, I've always felt sorry for him missing to party.
