Hi,
I have been given a general topic for an essay, "Herbert's problem with the Eucharist." I am having some trouble with this, as I can't figure out if he was with the protestant reformation, or still devoutly Roman Catholic, and where I can pull examples from his poetry. Any ideas?
Thanks!

George Herbert, 1593 - 1633. This puts him in the reign of Elizabeth I and James I, when to be other than Protestant was to invite torture and death.

What about Charles I? I'm not sure.
