my english teacher has asked me to research the context of william butler yeats "the lady's third song" i have found out personal things to do with yeats that are found in his poetry but she asked me to find out what litearrue was about then like was it a romantic period where poets always wrote about romance. any replies will be very helpful ty.

Pretty hard to generalise about what style of poetry was prevalent in a particular period, unless you narrow the focus down to, at most, a particular country or group of poets. Is it Irish poetry that your teacher wants you to focus on?
