ok, can anyone help me? my teacher has asked me to do this project where you have to pick a poem and describe what it means,.....and i have a little clue of what the surface of "devotion"(the poem) means, but i need a deeper meaning....here's how the poem goes:
Devotion
the heart can think of no devotion
greater than being shore to the ocean--
holding the curve of one position,
counting an endless repetition
so, anyone......help?
anyone?
??????

Jade,
This isn't a chat site- people come and go as they choose.
It also helps to post your poem.
Devotion
by Robert Lee Frost
The heart can think of no devotion
Greater than being shore to the ocean--
Holding the curve of one position,
Counting an endless repetition.
He's saying that love should be like that of the shore to the ocean. Always together. (we'll leave the part about being pounded on out of the argument)

Yes, I think my early evening half hour on line waiting for my husband to get home for dinner coincides with some people's lunch break half hour
What are you, on Greenwich Mean Time?
Don't you think it would be nicer if you were on Greenwich Pleasant Time?
We're on British Summer Time at the moment, which of course means that we don't get nice weather.
And our winters are mean, damp and miserable, we don't get snow we get slush and the trains stop and there are enormous traffic jams.
Other than that, I bet its nice !
