i need help explaining emily dikeinson's attitude towards nature. help me please
She liked it.
I am currently doing a research paper on her. Her thing with nature is that it is pure and unassuming. She is an avid gardener and likes nature as she observes it from her world inside her reclusive house and from her own back yard. It is one thing that asks nothing from her and places no demands upon her as through out her life these are things she has had to deal with.
Susana, if you're still doing research there is more information on Emily here:

What is the meaning of The Lost Thought by Emily Dickenson. I am at a total loss and I am trying to help my daughter. Help!!!
Let's take a look at the poem:
I FELT a clearing in my mind
....... As if my brain had split;
I tried to match it, seam by seam,
....... But could not make them fit.
The thought behind I strove to join
....... Unto the thought before,
But sequence ravelled out of reach
....... Like balls upon a floor.
Pam, our resident ED expert said the poem may describe a migraine headache. But other ordinary experiences, a traumatic experience, a fever, or
just disorientation might make one feel as though their mind is like a spool of yarn unravelling on the floor.
To me it's a metaphor for the idea that "She couldn't get her head straight."

Bartleby (http://tinyurl.com/2ucfz) would have us believe Em wrote 'cleavage', but since she had none, that is doubtful.
I felt a Cleaving in my Mind --
As if my Brain had split --
I tried to match it -- Seam by Seam --
But could not make it fit.
The thought behind, I strove to join
Unto the thought before --
But Sequence ravelled out of Sound
Like Balls -- upon a Floor.
See also, I felt a Funeral, in my Brain and,
The Brain, within its Groove
Runs evenly -- and true --
But let a Splinter swerve --
'Twere easier for You --
To put a Current back --
When Floods have slit the Hills --
And scooped a Turnpike for Themselves --
And trodden out the Mills --
I'm trying to find a critique of emily dickinson's I heard a Buzz Fly. I'm tring to understand what the poem is about please help me. Thanks
