Please help me with this poem.
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
i've got to find the theme, the tone, images used in here.
Also,I need to find every information about this poem including the book it was published in, the year it was compose, how it relates to the other poem of W.H Davies or other poet's. Actually, every background about it.
Do you have any suggestion or opinion? Help appreciated. Thank YOU!

I badly need help to write a presentation on Leisure by W.H.Davies and I could do with some help!
How long a presentation? Are you just reading the poem, or do you have to discuss it?

I would help, but I have to go smell the roses. That, and hide my nuts in the grass, right.
Too early in the year for roses (at least here) and in grass isn't where the squirrels are hiding their nuts.
I don't think it's the squirrel's nuts that he's hiding.

William Henry Davies wrote a poem called “leisure” to express his feelings about living and enjoying life. The poem is titled leisure though it is really about how bad life would be if leisure was like this. By definition leisure means freedom from time-consuming duties, responsibilities, or activities. Davies’ described life makes leisure obsolete. After Davies describes this always working and running life he says, “A poor life this if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare” It is saying why live if you can’t slow down and enjoy it. WHO IS SHE? I NEED LINKS TO BIOGRAPHY's
I have only the first stanza of "Ambition" by W. H. Davies.
Can't discover if there are additional lines....
Any help???
Stand and stare? No fear he wasn't. It means he was too busy indoors writing this sort of self-indulgent stuff for money.
It's riddled with self-excusing guilt. Get a death! Try this.
Remember, when with self-doubt you are riven,
life is something you are given.
From womb to death is where you're at
and when you're gone they'll ask - who was that?

Yahbut, the one from Davies shows he has an understanding of meter. The (wisely copyrighted, lest it be stolen) one from RJV cannot make that claim for the author.
