I am preparing a lecture on the following poem by Richard Lovelace. If anyone can provide me with a proper anaylsis, notes, commentary, explanations or other useful information that would be most befitting.
Thank you,

About three quarters down the page. Or, do a Find for Lucasta.
There's lots of information on Lovelace and his work here: [www.luminarium.org] />

I really need help. I need an analysis and a summary on this poem.
Thank you
Barbara Berry
First stanza-
'I'm leaving, don't be sad.'
Second stanza-
'War excites me.'
3rd stanza
'You should love me, because I love and need honor more than I love and need you.'
pam
Yeah. What pam said. He is basically saying;
Well, honey, I have to go to war. You really should see this as a good thing, because the kind of honor and integrity i gain at war will help me be a better man for you. Sorry, sweetie, but my allegience is to my king first, then you.
Hope this helps.
hey, i was looking around, cuz i needed help on this report too. thanks.
ei...pipol...can anyone give me the summary of d poem...please thx..
Read the poem, Crusader. Then read the posts above yours in this thread, and check out the links given. Then if there's still something in the poem puzzling you, come back and ask.
Are you using a cell phone to post to E-mule? I'm wondering why you feel it necessary to use SMS style. If you can, I suggest you post in normal English, using orthodox spelling, because that's surely how you'll be expected to present your work in class.
