I need to write 3 poems in the same style as Edgar Allan Poe... any suggestions?

A tough assignment; I would be hard pressed to write three poems in the style of EAP, I confess. You could do parodies of three of his most well known works, of course. That would be in the same style. If that is not what is desired, you could write almost anything that had rhyme and meter, along with an 'unusual' theme.

Possible target poems would include,

The Raven
The Bells
Alone
Dream Within a Dream
Eldorado

Definately go dark. Think of including death in whatever you do, or a metaphor or hidden comparison to a devil. Take a perfectly happy poem, in other words, and give it a dark twist.
