I'm not sure if any of you know, but I need to find out the name of the poem by Edgar Allen Poe with the guy that had the strange eye that bugged the main character so much that he ended up killing the guy, then thinking he heard his heart beating which gave him away.
I could be wrong, but what I believe you are referring to is not a poem. It is a short story, "The Tell-Tale Heart." You can probably google it and find it online somewhere. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Dennehy,
It was a short story called The Tell-Tale Heart.

Search for Invictus by William Ernest Henley, I suspect, even though the quote is not exactly the same.
