PLEASE HELP!!!
i'm supposed to write a paper doing the following...
It must explore the concept of love/ or representations of women in Donne's poetry by using "love's alchemy" as a critique...
but then the professor...added in a party about using the three types of love...
spiritual
physical
and intellectual....
i understand it all but the INTELLECTUAL LOVE...what does that mean?
HELP PLEASE!!! if you know what this means...please lemme know! thanks...
Sounds like Spinoza's intellectual love of God. Certainly the professor would not object to defining such a slippery term, but I would infer the meaning to be the opposite of emotional love. That is, the object appeals to the intellect rather than the emotions.
