Great poems, it is very kind of you, Les to do these anthologies. Not only does it give new users the chance to read through a great poet's work but it also has to give the poet a feel-good sensation, knowing they are being honored through an anthology.
The Myth by Printer 12
Hear hear
Lady of the Night
I never conquered, rarely came, sixteen just held such better days.
Thank-you Les, for all of your hard work. I have decided to change paths as to how I am going to go about publishing my work, so I will have to go back and put some of those poems back in. I have made quite a mess of your efforts here and I do apologise for that. As for my political endeavours, well, most of the damaging stuff is so far back it won't let me delete it anyway (mostly on Skye's threads, that gal is a trouble maker :p)
Sincerely,
Brucefur
Bruce, what's the chance of you reposting some of those old poems which you deleted? Not necessarily on their original threads, but on new threads so the many newbies can read them.
As to the work involved, it does take a tremendous amount of time, which is
why poems posted after July 2004 have not been included in the anthologies. That too, may come in time.
Les
p.s. Now that I have access again to most of my favorite e-mule authors I'll probably be bumping some of these dusty threads to the top during the next few weeks.

Unfortunately---Brucefur's opinion about modern art had me gagging to where I find it tres difficult to be open to his work . . .
(just my opinion)
quote below was written by Bruce---
"Modern poetry, by and large, is much the same as modern art; anyone can throw paint at a canvas, give it a label and call it art, but it lacks both skill and substance. Likewise with throwing out monosyllabic words without depth of meaning. Just my opinion, you are entitled to yours."
I'd love to hear him debate the curators of The Whitney and MOMA; now that'd be a gas!! I'd also love to hear him chat with the deceased woman who recently gave $100,000,000 to "Poetry" the journal---full of modern poetry and regarded along with The Paris Review as our country's best lit journals.

Les,
I will be sure to, just can't say when, because I am involved in a couple of fairly major projects right now.
Actually Les, maybe this is a better idea as it is a much more comprehensive listing of my works to date:

Lisa, Larry? Not quite sure which personality I am supposed to be addressing here, but thanks for the bump.

You do good work, Les.
Thank you for taking the time to fix the links.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. (Aristotle)
what's the chance of you reposting some of those old poems which you deleted?
I second Les' request, Bruce. And out of curiousity, why did you delete them? It is funny how every single poem I clicked to read was deleted!
Hey Angelsfear, this might help you remember me.
Thank-you once again Les for your tireless contribution to this site.

Bruce, thanks for bumping this, now I can find my favorite of yours without digging through the archives.
