A nostalgic facial expression!

Despite Will

A thought hits my brain waves
And a shiver runs down my spine:
Does the river really miss me?
Suddenly, I am hit hard with a sign:
A spark of blue and yellow
Questioning a feeling that is mine!
If I wonder, so do its ripples;
When I feel, it is but sublime;
Mutuality speaks itself out
And my words simply echo in rhyme.
A forced, yet inevitable yes spurs
As our feelings run out of time!

Excellent poem, K.Q. I think I like the title as much as the words inside!!! Great combo.

K. Q., this is quite a departure from your normal structure. I enjoyed it, both the meaning and the beautiful, rhythmic flow.

I love this part!

Does the river really miss me?
Suddenly, I am hit hard with a sign:
A spark of blue and yellow
Questioning a feeling that is mine!
If I wonder, so do its ripples;
When I feel, it is but sublime;
Mutuality speaks itself out
And my words simply echo in rhyme.

Thanks a lot W.W. , Les and Ben. For a while I thought I was reaching a block in writing! Hope this recession of mine fades quickly. Thanks again for the kind words!

I'm basically a pretty straightforward person, and lay my words out one at a time. That's why I find your poetry intriguing, I'm never quite sure what you are saying. However, you say it well.

Don't worry JP, and thanks for your honesty. My mom says it takes her ten reads before she can get what I mean. You are way ahead,I guess! I really appreciate your effort in reading what I write and responding, as I do everybody else. Thanks a lot!!
