Good Intentions
After throwing me off an edge
I still linger in the air,
Neither hitting hard rock
Nor falling in depths of waters.
It seems my dreams hold me
On soft wings of clouds
Rewarding my patience,
Crowning the remnants of tolerance
I yet do possess!
And as I fall, they all do:
Passion, anxiety and lust.
We drop into a realm
Of wonder, confusion
And question marks
All hanging in the air
Of a history in eternal slumber!

K.Q., I think dreams are fascinating. It is amazing how time stands still in dreams, we can go back to our childhoods and remember past incidents so vividly. Great poem.

Thank you very much Les, but I am afraid this is not mainly about dreams. I think it is more about when you do things with good intentions following your passion and then get put off by someone for whatever reason, your good intantions kind of save you and give you peace of mind and and contentment despite the stifling responses you get! But truly thanks for reading!
Thanks for the explanation, K. Q. I think the best poems can often be interpreted many different ways, I do see your point, however.

K.Q.,
Enjoyed the poem, and your explanation really helped. I can see it that way now. I like this the most:
"It seems my dreams hold me
On soft wings of clouds
Rewarding my patience,"

Thansk for the response. I am glad you liked it!

I also enjoyed this one! Very interesting to read! Good job!
