erroneous veil in place.
pause & breathe in daylight,
a dauntless daring face.
day after day, they all deduce-
demure confidence to be true.
as essence sheathes malaise-
the trepidations of her youth.
in ominous splendor,
she lies alone-
as slumber awakens sobs.
enigma revealed,
atrocities exposed,
her demons have
commenced their stalk...
a haunted mind battles on-
throughout the silent screams.
as idle prayer lingers,
although relinquished-
for one moment,
one glimpse,
of peace.
