I'm ready to Spring

sometimes I think
we stir up trouble
to have something
to keep life interesting

to string together
a highlight reel
to tie us through
the mundane

and even indecision
is a choice
amidst our fear based
opportunities lost

one toe over the line
before retreat
to the safety
of the known

one too many times
before the cocoon ruptures
and the butterfly
gets nerve to chase her dreams

Frosty:

This is well-constructed and definitely one of your best. The opening verse grabbed my attention immediately, and everything that followed led beautifully to the final exhilarating release. An uplifting read for the beginning of spring and just what I needed this morning.

Nicely done, Sherry, the reader senses the feeling of angst and indecision that colors many choices we all make every day.

Terry,

hello and thanks for saying so. I've missed finding any words to form in to a poem...haha. It's good to be back around.
