When Twilight Falls
There is a storm a coming
And every snowflake is a faery,
The thunderheads are the dragons
And they‘re really rather scary.
The Winter Queen is flying wild
And her subjects are a flurry.
The dragons spit Saint Elmo‘s fire;
You‘d better run, better scury.
Twilight is fast approaching
And with it comes the Queen of Spring,
Now everything is blooming
And the dragons are on the wing.
White dragons are floating,
Ever watchful from the skies,
The fey folk are in hiding
Keeping out a wary eye.
With Summer comes the Phoenix
Burning in her firery heart,
Blue skies are appearing as
The drakes hastily depart.
The Autumn Queen‘s in slumber,
The storm gathers as she snores.
Misty dragons are decending;
Alas, the unicorn‘s no more.

It seems like the seasons of our lives fly by, Bruce. Good job here, I enjoyed the read.
Les
It is just me trying to lure JP back. Lol.
This was inspired while I was driving yesterday. The seasons seem confused; we had a January spring and now are getting inches of snow daily.
This does remind me of JP's style. Do you still live north of St. George?
Les
Hey Les, you‘re close, but a bit off of the mark. I live in a small city of 83,000 pretty much dead centre in the Province of British Columbia. Its name being, Prince George.
JP writes much better than I do, but thank you for the compliment.
Really enjoyed the read, Bruce.
I've been to Prince George, Bruce, and Prince Rupert, I must have been thinking of the U.S. city in Utah. Oh well, good to hear all is well in the great northwest.
Les
*smiles. My wife is from Prince Rupert, Les. I have been through there many times, though not in over thirty years. There are doing big things in both places; here an inland port paired with an international airport and in Rupert, a sea port that currently rivals Vancouver‘s, but in a few more years will be twice that size.
When were you in PG? Did you know that Terry once crashed a plane here? Lol
