Hello? Anyone out there?

Couldn't respond to FC #88 so I thought I'd make a new one.

Would love to hear from my old friends.

KQ, always a pleasure; glad I could assist with the cookie issue.

Nutmeg, it was like pulling teeth, but you finally bit. Glad you returned.

Les, can‘t Rudy and Aaron give you the abilty to block the spammers and delete their posts? It shouldnMt be that hard to do.

I have emailed Rudy and Aaron asking for them to grant Les executive powers to combat the spammers. I hope that they will listen.

He should kill (delete) on sight. Take no prisoners. Zero tolerance. Zero debate.

Unfortunately, Bruce, Rudy and Aaron sold the website several years ago.
And thanks for the vote of confidence, but I like not having to monitor the website 24/7. Though I agree with you that the spammers are a pain in the rear.

Thanks for your call sign Terry. I am looking to buy a new hand held and have built my first cantenna at my house. Gotta ship parts in from the US of A, but they are acting protecctionist, so I have to have a friend buy them and then send them on up for me to complete the project.

I haven‘t decided on the rig. I have a basic licence right now, so I am strictly VHF, but it is tempting for me to finally get my butt in gear, buy a UHF unit, get my cw 12 ticket and my advanced instead. Kind of have to concentrate on getting my PAL first. My rifles are currently bending the law a little bit.

Whatever I do I will be sure to let you know. Seems strange after all these years that I have only hear you, Les, Jack and Peter in my head. I have spoken to Nutmeg several times; she has the greatest accent ever!

Les; they sold? Wow. Surprised that the ppoetry forum is still even here then.

Yeah, I do not when or to whom they sold, but I received an e-mail from Aaron in 2007 which said that neither he nor Rudy had the time to foster their interest in the website.

Shortly after that the site was down for about 3-6 months. After which none of our passwords worked, and the site lacked any type of monitoring whatsoever. Too bad, they had a good thing going for a while.

I remember that down time. I thought it was because of hackers.

for my money, to fill the opther 4 eMule forums with advertising, as is now the case, is hacking...even if it is with the permission of the current owners.

I agree with you Pete, but ultimately the sight of the site, or appearance of the website depends upon the supervision of the webmaster.

Quote of the Day
Let us have done with vain regrets and longings for the days that never will be ours again. Our work lies in front, not behind us; and "Forward!" is our motto.
