Out of your day?
Can you make a poem
Out of an account of your day?
Body image is not body sense,
But they are different from our perception of our body
Proper.
Why bring to mind the mind-body problem?

Body location is another matter
'Where is your body?'
--this may be as unanswerable as
'Where is your mind?'

Heat sensors
Pain sensor
Pressure sensors
The sense of touch
--they are all distinguishable from one another.

Blank cure ... My bathroom thoughts...
Along with remembering telling John:
I got my new beard at the Santa Claus shop,
Unused.

This ... Concurrent with thinking:
Hettie Jones writes poetically
In her prose account of her life.

Now I am away from those thoughts,
At my computer,
Growing dim of mind, again
...expletive deleted
...the job of the philosopher.

The job of the poet,
Non-poets sometimes think,
Is to come up with poetic phrases

One of my instructors once told us that the art of becoming a good writer was knowing what to leave in and what to leave out. The lesson being that "editing" is essential to good writing.

From an artist's perspective one might ask, "if a sculpture starts with the entire being of the person, what features should be cut from the base, and which should be revealed?"
