Premeditated meltdown
and a concubine trombone;
she suffered her walk with
the shuffle of someone wearing
track shoes on the wrong feet...
hence the meltdown.
And though it may not have been
premeditated, it was liken to
the long smooth release of the trombone
slide.
When home, in her parlour,
it was not unusual for her to
concubine with a friendly friend
who at some point would remove
her unfaithful track shoes.
And when she was finally
‘rightened’, life became much
more normal, more normal then the average
bear could ever imagine...and in this
day and age, hell, that’s saying a lot.
This begs the question, what's the average bear.
Les
maybe it's a Canadian thing, Les. The poem is about mental illness, so the average bear line is to add an element of quirk.
Thanks for the explanation, Gwyd. It is a good read overall.

That IS saying a lot....and so is this poem.
