February brushes me roughly
taunting me with teeters
and little balance in its true nature
a struggle between the chills
and hints of springtime
and you, in the middle
clinging to blanket and the bare
wondering which
will suit you best
and realizing you will never know...
Hey!
Sorry we missed each other today. Kaye invited me out for lunch, which is a rare event, so I did that and really enjoyed myself.
That doesn't mean I wasn't thinking about you all day...thinking about our missed chance to meet face-to-face. On the bus home I talked with a woman from Oklahoma who was in town for the Oracle conference. Somehow, even though it was a great talk, it wasn't the same.
So glad you and I had the brief email exchange anyway. I don't forsee myself headed toNYC for a while, unless one of my daughters ends going to grad school in New Hampshire or Washington, D.C.
Anyway, keep on keeping on and don't let that boss take too many 14 hour days out of you.
love and go forward,
Peter
Good job with this one, Sherry, the glitch in e-mule's system brought this poem back which is good for us readers.
