"For Every You There is an I"
Several things separate us: pride, fear,
And your assurance that you are right
I've received letters written in anger
And I could send every letter back
And say the same to you
Another thing that separates us
Perhaps the most dangerous of all
Is a blindness you've taken on through life
It keeps you from seeing others' point of view
And what your words do to them
Yet it only takes one thing to unite us
Let me tell you what it is
A full understanding of the phrase
"There's a method to every madness"
And realize that all we need to do
Is realize that for every "You" there is an "I"
Guys, this is fairly uncharacteristic for me, to throw blame. I haaaate the blame game, and 99% of the time, blame myself. Although I've been working on that, and I think I'm down to 90% Yay for me! Umm, this is actually about my ex, Tommy. I wrote it out of weariness of...well, what it's about! Read it and weep.

We can all learn from each other; that is true,
in fact I have learned a lot from you,
I am glad that you are now with someone new,
who makes you happy, and not blue.
I know that it is REALLY hallmark, but the sentiment is there. hugs
I am sorry, but not even hallmark......
anyway... the sentiment is there!
cool poem lady!
Yes we are i hope all happy that you are with someone who makes you happy and not blue. I enjoyed the read it was nice. As bruce said we all learn from one another. That is very much truth. I come to this site and read poetry that varies in so many ways. There is alot of great work out here. Alot of different things to learn about.
