See Me

See me
standing here among the new
gleaming towers

I am but a mere reflection in them

acknowledge me
give me a sense of purpose

read my inscriptions
you may not understand but,
it doesn't matter

they are only empty words

I am an insecure relic
infected with daily erosion
dying indentity

my pillars are crumbling
without support I am condemned
for all to see

I will be seen.

One would like to think that this is by way of an apology Jay. But then again, maybe I misinterpreted. JP

Apology? What are you talking about?

Nah,
I'm thinking a combination of too much history/ sight seeing mixed with age and insecurity. Where did you get "apology" from? I like your style by the way. I know I should say something constructive, but I think I like it as is. It is as good if not better than the stuff we read in English class.
