Victims of BiPolar

The fcking knife!!
The anger!
The confusion!
The sheer frustration that comes from the imbalance of our minds!
Scream out loud!!!
Shred our hearts!!
Fall to the floor!
There is no release!
To fight and fight!
And to get nowhere!
NOWHERE!

The curse of the devil!!
Worst known to mankind!
You know nothing of us, or what we go through, so don't bother trying to understand!

Claw at our hearts!
Scratch at our souls!
Strangle the very breath of our lungs!
There is nothing!
There is no-one!
There is confusion!!
The imbalance!!
NO RELEASE!!

To spend your life going to and fro
Back and forth between the poles
And visit every f
cking point in between!
Do you know the anguish!!
You don't; we are alone!
Alone in our own minds, trapped in imperfection!

Scream as loud as we can
'Till our throats are hoarse
And we cannot breathe--
Nor do we wish to!!!!
Crying for just release!
Screaming for an absolution!

And not a soul hears!!!!!!!

I'm not a soul then, but a myth.
Try to overcome. I know you can.

For Sargirl and Poetgurl,

This one is certainly not one of Lady's best, but it may be the most pertainent to the "you don't know me theme."

Another one I missed. You're right Lady, no-one can know what it's like unless they have experienced the anguish of mental illness, and even then we are unique in our perceptions, feelings, strengths and weaknesses. I'm tired of these people that say 'I feel your pain' - I want to say to them - 'No you don't, you have no idea what my pain feels like'. A powerful poem. JP

I read this as I was posting Lady's work, but did not know exactly what she was talking about. In case there are others who might be ignorant about this phenomenon, you may want to check out this cursory description:

Terry, there are all kinds of lost gems in these vaults. After I'm through with this listing phase, I'll dig through a few and share them with all of you. (That'll probably be around September.)

Wicked, Terry said this was in the closet for two years?, and while I know there are people here who read EVERYTHING, it amazed me that someone actually tunneled through two years worth of posts to find this particular thread.........and then I realized it was because of Les' Anthology efforts that are giving new life to old posts.

I never conquered, rarely came, sixteen just held such better days.
