I haven't written on here in years, I actually had to change the format of my name to re-login... hope you all enjoy this. a little freeverse...

Solace

why is it that that tune
makes me only think of you?
why does the melody reflect
the way you made me feel?
perhaps it’s the comfort
of the stereo, the gentle hum
of acoustic love. he sings
farewell to his love, I think
of the one from you…
comfort in sorrow, distress in consolation.
Solace.
