I rejoice
Posted by: frosty (192.168.128.---)

to all the perfect moments
immortalized by faint memory
which likes to glorify their passing

for all the secret hopes
clenched tight –chested to their owner
for safest of all keeping

in all the disappointments
created in our minds- set up to be
let down by unreal expectations

with all the love of the Beholder
cradled hands and heart overflowing
with grace and understanding

captivated by the struggle
and the beauty
of our human condition

I cannot help but to rejoice

Nicely done, Frosty. There are some phrases which sounded a bit awkward to me, but it's probably my reading as much as any misstep on your part.

Frosty:

The resiliency of the human spirit is amazing. You've captured the essence of that resiliency very nicely.

Nicely phrased, a good read.

Sherry - I've been back to this one several times -- it is very poignant and has an air of hopefulness about it that is contagious...very uplifting.

beautifully captured idea, and great format. I especially like how you link the poem through the the first line in each tercet(?)

to all
for all
in all
with all

I enjoyed it.

Frosty, one need never make excuses for bumping any poem at any time.

Sometimes I bump my own poems to share with friends, and other times I bump them just to re-read them and remind myself of where I was intellectually at a particular time.
